As a forest industry by-product Fibertop® is always fresh from the sawmill. Recycled wood, pallets or land-clear materials are never used, eliminating the possibility of metal or chemical contamination, which can occur with lower cost competitive products.
Trusted in playgrounds and backyards across Ontario for over 20 years, Fibertop® surfacing is environmentally friendly, low-maintenance, and can be installed in hours.
Fibertop® is IPEMA certified. Our customers are assured of both safety performance and product purity. IPEMA certification is an on-going process whereby products are tested and facilities inspected on an annual basis.
Fibertop® is the lowest-cost safety surfacing product on the market. Per square metre, there is no other product that offers certified safety and accessibility at a price that compares to engineered wood fibre. Long term maintenance is at a relatively low cost typically involving occasional raking or topping up in high use areas.
Fibertop® is ground, screened and blended, producing a clean chip with enough fiber to form a consistent matted surface which allows for barrier free access for wheelchairs and walkers. Fibertop® has been tested by TUV SUD America to be compliant with the Standard for Playground surface accessibility.
Fibertop® is a sustainable forestry by-product, made from 100% Canadian virgin wood. Fibertop is derived from wood chips diverted from the timber industry waste stream. Products, such as Fibertop, allow the timber industry to achieve 100% utilization of the wood they harvest and this is good for the environment.
